Dear Colleagues,
We are delighted to invite you to attend the
International Training Course on Carbon Ion Radiotherapy (ITCCIR 2023) co-hosted by QST hospital and Gunma University on
November 13th – 18th , 2023.
At present, there are increasing number of particle therapy facilities in operation or under construction or planning around the world. However, it is also true that, in order to effectively carry out such treatment, corresponding human resources with advanced knowledge and skills are still insufficient.
In consideration of the above, the course is designed to provide participants with
a basic knowledge of the biological, physical, and clinical aspects of carbon ion therapy (CIRT), as well as the latest information in each of these fields. The lectures will be mainly on carbon ion radiotherapy, but since there is no significant difference between carbon ion and proton therapy in terms of irradiation techniques and treatment planning, we believe that anyone interested in charged particle therapy will find this course useful.
This ITCCIR has been held annually since 2012, and this year will be the 11th.
The first three days of the course will be held at QST Hospital in Chiba, while the second three days at Gunma University in Gunma, allowing participants to enjoy not only lectures and site visits, but also a short trip and Japanese cultural experiences. This will be one of the attractions of this course.
We look forward to your registration.
Thank you.
